Capitalize for Kids Consulting
Across Canada, young people are speaking up and asking for help with their mental health. Unfortunately, these kids and their families often face limited access to care with long wait lists.
Despite a large number of highly effective mental health organizations in Canada, they lack resources to keep up with demand.
That’s why we created Capitalize for Kids Consulting.
We are growing our team to take on some of the toughest challenges in this field and help these organizations support more kids with their existing resources.
Will you join us?
We work with pro-bono support from leading management consulting firms and have a growing in-house team that specializes in capacity building for mental health service providers. Our process takes our beneficiaries from identifying opportunities through to implementation and eventually knowledge mobilization.
1. Opportunity Identification
We help organizations find opportunities to support more kids with their existing resources.
2. Solution Design
We develop solutions that capitalize on these opportunities.
We fund and support the implementation of our solutions.
4. Knowledge Mobilization
We template, publish and share our solutions for use by other mental health service providers across Canada.
Last-minute cancellations and piles of reporting paperwork are a problem for many service providers across Canada. We’re working with The George Hull Centre for Children and Families to reduce last-minute cancellations, and streamline the reporting requirements of their staff to ensure clinicians spend as much time as possible doing what they do best – helping people.
Like many Canadians, Nova Scotians can face challenges accessing local mental health and addictions services for children, youth and families. We’ve partnered with the IWK Health Centre to support the creation of a regionalized network of partnership in mental health care to expand the capacity of the province to provide appropriate mental health services closer to home.
Meeting the growing demands of young people in the digital age is no easy feat. Kids Help Phone has two core services: phone and live chat. We’re working with them to improve the efficiency of their service staff to ensure as many calls and live chats are answered as possible, while maintaining the incredible quality of care they’ve become known for.
