Capitalize for Kids Student Challenge

Where does the challenge take place?

The entire challenge will take place online. Students will raise money on our fundraising platform and manage their portfolios on our trading platform.

When does registration take place?

Registration takes place from September 4th, 2018 — September 28th, 2018

When do I select my portfolio and compete?

The trading window takes place from October 1st, 2018 to March 29th, 2019.

How do I set up my portfolio?

You will be sent a link with your credentials to set up your portfolio on IRESS Viewpoint before trading opens on October 1st, 2018.

Am I eligible to participate?

Any student at the age of majority who is enrolled in a post-secondary institution for any amount of time between September 4th, 2018 — March 29th, 2019 is eligible to participate.

How much does it cost to register?

It is free to register and compete. Participants are required to raise a minimum of $250 to be eligible for prizes.

Where do the funds raised go?

All donations are made to the Capitalize for Kids Foundation. The funds raised from the Student Challenge support capacity building projects at youth mental health service providers.

Are tax receipts provided for those that donate?

Yes. Anyone who donates to you will receive a tax receipt from Capitalize for Kids Foundation, charitable business #15601760RR0001
