How will winners be chosen?

Capitalize for Kids recognizes that investing is a long term initiative, and becoming a successful investor is hard. We do not want to underplay the degree of difficulty of picking a winning stock, nor do we want to crown a winner who got ‘lucky’. To ensure we properly assess the quality of each participant’s portfolio, we have developed a thorough evaluation process which incorporates portfolio return, and a written rationale. Our goal is to ensure challenge winners are selected based on their skill and investing acumen, rather than luck.

Final ranking of participants is based on two Factors:

    1) Portfolio Return – Portfolios with Purpose will rank participants based on the performance of their portfolio
    2) Written Portfolio Rationale – Participants are required to submit a written rationale for their portfolio (maximum 500 words)
