To be eligible for the grand prize and runner-up prize, you must meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $250.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
Fundraising Deadline: February 28th, 2019
To be eligible for any prizes, you must fundraise a minimum of $250 for kids’ mental health. You will also receive awesome perks when you hit key fundraising levels.
All funds go to the Capitalize for Kids Foundation and support capacity building projects at youth mental health service providers. Donors will receive a Canadian charitable tax receipt for their gift.
October 1st, 2018 – March 29th, 2019 (Winter Term begins January 21st, 2019)
Use $1 million in virtual currency to build the ultimate portfolio. Buy and sell stocks on our virtual trading platform powered by IRESS.
All trades must be placed during market hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM EDT).
No trading on margin, short selling or buying options.
Any new portfolio position must have a total value between $100,000 – $300,000.
Only Equities, ETFs and REITs listed on the TSX, NYSE and NASDAQ with a $500 million market cap minimum are eligible for trading.
Eligible securities that fall within these restrictions will be updated on a weekly basis.
Dividend yields will be paid out on a monthly basis.
No commission fees are charged.
