Impact Report- Q2 2021

2021 has remained a very challenging time for all but we continue to be optimistic that we will exit this year stronger than we have ever been and we will have created a positive impact with kids’ mental health agencies across the country that exceeds anything that we have delivered previously. At Capitalize for Kids, we are extremely grateful to have the support of our community during this tumultuous period.

Current Impact

The growth of our work in 2021 has been significant as we have now been engaged across nine projects, with 12 more moving toward implementation. We are having an impact on organizations across the kids’ mental health vertical in Ontario and we continue to engage outside the province, with the belief that we can build a national practice as we activate knowledge translation from across our work efforts. We are in conversation with the Ontario Lead Agency Consortium (LAC), we have a multi-faceted relationship with the lead agency in Toronto (Strides) and we embarked on the largest project identification process in our history.

Interested in what we’re working on? Check out our quarterly project update summaries.
At the completion of a project, we create knowledge translation documents so that other organizations can learn from our work and implement the solutions for themselves. You can view and download them from our website: capitalizeforkids.org/knowledge-hub/.

We have officially wrapped up the 4th Annual Bay Street Games. Nine teams of six virtually competed for the title of Bay Street’s Fittest Firm. A fantastic showing by all, both physically & mentally during the competition, and financially with their fundraising asks; we are thrilled to announce that the title of Bay Street’s Fittest Firm goes to CPP Investments, the 2021 Bay Street Games Champion! Teams raised over $106,000 to support our capacity-building work in the kids’ mental health sector.

If you would like to get your firm involved in the 2022 Bay Street Games, please contact [email protected].
